What are some other simple leaks to fix?

Many home appliances pull water from your home's plumbing system. This can be incredibly convenient when everything is working but can lead to headaches when the hoses that connect your dishwasher, refrigerator or washing machine to the water source begin to leak.

These hoses are often rubber, which cracks and disintegrates with age. Even if your appliances haven't begun to leak, consider upgrading these hoses to braided metal versions. These are much more durable and can prevent future issues or eliminate a current leak. While they are more expensive than their rubber counterparts, the investment will save you money on potential repairs.
