Purchasing a new home and moving can be an exciting time. Before you get settled in, there are a few things you should put at the top of your to-do list.

Make sure that you change the locks on all of the doors to your new house. You can either hire a locksmith or install new ones yourself. After buying a home, securing the exterior is crucial.

During the home selling process there may have been several copies of the keys to your newly bought house floating around. Real estate agents and previous owners may still have the ability to enter your home. Because of this, it is important to change your locks.
